The Scourge of Alpha Software

I woke at 5am, watched some countdown, got one 7 letter word BERATES.

Yesterday I managed to make that first live upload, it's been long time comming.

Anyhow I'm at the dreaded alpha stage, the definition being: -

alpha: "a first release of a software product that is usually tested only by the developers"

I'm the only developer so that doesn't really make much sense, I've been testing stuff since the start. So I propose a new definition: -

alpha: "It works, but only just"

IMHO, much more concise.
